Sakata will participate in Week 24 Flower Trials in Holland with open days from June 11-13, displaying at Showkas Kwekerij De Arendshoeve BV (Aalsmeerderdijk 438; 1436 BL Aalsmeerderbrug; The Netherlands).  This event will provide venue for the full array of the Sakata assortment, providing insight for all levels of the marketing chain.  June and July bring Southeast GHC (Booth 5016) and OFA (Booth 1401).

For every unit of Sweet Treasure seed sold through July 2008, Sakata will make a donation to the National Watermelon Association.   Sweet Treasure, trialed experimentally as SSX 7401, is a round oval Crimson Sweet triploid that produces superior quality 16-18 pound fruit.  It has a strong and vigorous vine, smooth dense red flesh and produces excellent yields.  Sakata’s watermelon program is very extensive and includes wide array of watermelon types for all market regions.
